get her on a travel team- and "elite" one :

Actually I think the golf industry is trying to follow baseball. Recently they started the "PGA Junior League", which is similar to little league -- a group of kids tryout and be assigned to teams based on skills and then compete with a similarly skilled team. If successful, I can see the next logical move -- travel teams, elite teams, and showcases. PG, it's time to start drawing a business plan ...

Potential new topics from this post alone:

Is the best 2u the best 17u golfer?

What exit speed should a 2u have?

Projectability out of Pre-school?

Showcase or tournaments, where will she get best attention?

High School Golf or Elite Tournament Golf?

and finally, my favorite.......

Here's to you Mr. Pre-school Golf Watcher!

Little kids are so much fun.  Always sort of made my living watching older kids and I enjoy that. But not much that is more entertaining than watching young kids play.  The younger they are the more I enjoy watching. I actually used to stop at a local park where they had a league for first time real young kids. I would stay there for a long time when ever possible.  Those little kids would do things that were so comical it would make anyone laugh.

I know it is golf and the equipment is plastic.  But how many 2 year old girls swing like this? I hope she gets interested in sports.

Wow. . . that's really good!  I've known quite a few adults who can't hit a golf ball as well as that.

This reminds me very much of my son when he was that age doing the same thing with a full back swing and follow through.  When I first saw it, it blew me away to see someone that young able to so consistently hit a golf ball (yes, plastic) off of the floor/carpet so well.   This was one of the strong clues I had that he had outstanding hand-eye coordination.   I also had a plastic/Nerf bat and ball that he would consistently hit balls tossed at him.

So, I would say it looks like your daughter has some above average talent there.  I'd bet she'll be doing very well at any sport she chooses.

Too bad they don't let girls play football

My younger sister was 3 time AA softball CF in college. Received much softball, hoops and volleyball awards/trophies in HS. To date she likes her football trophy the best. I think she may have been first girl in state to get a punt pass and kick trophy (she placed second in her young age group locally). That was about 35 yrs ago.

She is a cutey, but as you can tell she is a very aggressive little girl... She also runs very fast.  Not sure she ever walked, I think she just right away took off running.  She has three brothers. I think she is going to do well in sports.  Too bad they don't let girls play football.

Ummmmm.......our local HS football team did have a girl on the team one year.  She was one of the FG kickers.  Coach sent her in on extra points and short FG attempts.  The boy FG kicker went in on attempts over 35 yards.

So you never know.

So sad her swing is far better than mine.

Anyone who is in or about to be in the recruiting process should be required to go watch a 6u/7u game!

My 6u daughter had a scrimmage last weekend. She lightly tapped the incoming coach pitched ball, it went directly to the pitcher who got it to 1B. By the time she got to 1B the kid was standing on the base with the ball, she smiled, said hi, and went to second! Coach came out of the dugout to inform her she was out, she smiled, hustled back to the dugout and proceeded to drink from her bedazzled pink water bottle.  She had a blast!  Not one parent talked about batting order, swing trajectory, or where their kid was playing....it was just fun!

Every parent there smiled at something one of the kids did...when was the last time you saw every parent smiling at a baseball game?

Actually, on the first date I had with my wife we ended up just strolling out to a park and watching a random T-ball game. I'd also say that my couple of years "coaching" T-ball were my most enjoyable.

I was watching sons college game last weekend.  There were 3 boys probably 3-4 years old sitting on the concrete directly behind the backstop.  One had a uniform on complete with a plastic batting helmet, the other two were decked out in team gear.

They were out of ear shot from me, but every once in awhile one would jump up and imitate a pitcher throwing or perform a fake swing. then they would squat back down and chat away again.  Soon another one would jump up and show off his throwing motion or batting stance.  I would have loved to have eavesdropped for awhile!!

When I was in college, we had the first girl to ever appear in a college game. It was a D3 school and she was a varsity soccer player that kicked. I can't remember if it was an extra point or a field goal, but she made the kick. This was back in the 90's. I do remember working the main college switchboard on the Monday morning after the game and answering calls from all the major national news outlets trying to talk to our then football coach (Dan Hawkins) and the young lady. I think I talked to Good Morning America, The Today Show and all the evening news people. It was pure chaos.

She is adorable.
