Can you be drafted twice?

Alright, this is one those questions that I have always had. Let's say for example you are drafted out of HS. You then go on to play, let's say, three years in the minor leagues. And then, you get hurt. So, you want to get a degree at a DI college. Are you allowed to play for team? Don't you still have all your college eligibilty? If you recover and do well, could you be drafted again? If you have the direct link into the baseball rulebook, that'd be nice...

once you sign a pro contract you lose NCAA college eligiblity for that sport.

But, you could go back to college and play another sport.

But, you could be drafted more than once if you play college ball, get drafted out of your junior year and dont sign. Return the university for your final year and play out your senior year. You could sign before the 1 year period is up. If you dont sign within 1 year, you reenter the draft.

I believe it to be possible to be drafted 4 to 5 times...can someone correct me if wrong. High school, each year of 2 years at Jr. College, after Jr. year of transfer to 4-year school, and after senior season.

If I remember correctly; If you do not sign after a set date, you are a free agent and can get drafted again the following year.

Once you have signed a contract, I don't think you can be drafted again. You simply become a free agent.

But if you don't sign, you can be drafted again and again until you do sign.
