Alright, this is one those questions that I have always had. Let's say for example you are drafted out of HS. You then go on to play, let's say, three years in the minor leagues. And then, you get hurt. So, you want to get a degree at a DI college. Are you allowed to play for team? Don't you still have all your college eligibilty? If you recover and do well, could you be drafted again? If you have the direct link into the baseball rulebook, that'd be nice...

once you sign a pro contract you lose NCAA college eligiblity for that sport.

But, you could go back to college and play another sport.

But, you could be drafted more than once if you play college ball, get drafted out of your junior year and dont sign. Return the university for your final year and play out your senior year. You could sign before the 1 year period is up. If you dont sign within 1 year, you reenter the draft.
