I'd suggest posting this question down in the Tennesee Forum.
CN is associated with the Baptist Church. Therefore religion pervades the campus culture. However it's like any college campus. You can find what you're looking for in a college experience. Students are bound by a stricter code of conduct than what you'd find at a state university. The athletes are probably a little different than the general student body in makeup. The football team is headed by a fine man in Ken Sparks. They have a rich tradition in football -being a national power in both NAIA and now DII. I think last year was a bit atypical. The campus is situated in a very small town, but Knoxville is about 45 minutes away. The football stadium just completed a big renovation.
All my knowledge is from the outside looking in. Hopefully someone else can provide you with more information.
