SW florida scout team, will be a closed one for you, but if you already signed, you don't need to play, take it off, and work at getting better and improving your tools, with a trainer, so you'll be ready and well rested for the fall, there is when you have to make the team.JMO.
My middle boy did that, and really help him a lot. He was going to play for his 18U elite team, but decided not to, instead he worked hard in his tools, got biger, faster and stronger, remember being recruited is nice but, you still have to make the team as I said.
Bobby,

I have to disagree with that advice. it is very important to play during the summer before you get to a major D1 or any college. Taking off means you do not see the pitching, you do not catch live pitchers in game situations and you do not throw runners out in game situations.

I have seen many kids take the summer before college off and then get cut or end up on the bench not playing. Your middle son's experience is the exception - not the rule. As a catcher I'd limit the amount of games behind the plate to amout 20-25 and DH the rest of the time, but to not play would be a mistake.

As for playing this summer you have Southwest Florida Baseball and Crusader Baseball in the Fort Myers area or the Central Florida Renegades and the Orlando Scorpions in the Central Florida area. Based on geography those would be the four teams you would probably want to contact about summer baseball and stay close to home. All four are quality programs.
The key for a player heading into his frosh college year on scholarship is to come in in TIP TOP SHAPE and be able to live up to your laurels

Don't get "senioritis" and come in out of shape--if you do you will be sitting on the pine

You want to go in with the attitude that I am going to win the starting spot--
