What happen's if a batter hit's the catcher's glove, but it is obvious that it was done on purpose? Can the umpire change the result?

This discussion came up with some guys the other day and nobody really had an answer or had ever seen it happen.

If a batter intentionally hit the catcher's mitt that batter should be called for interference, he's out, and it's a dead ball.

(OBR 2.0, 7.08)b), 7.09(L)): Interference is any act by the team at bat which obstructs, impedes, hinders, or confuses any fielder attempting to make a play.....
