I would recomend going into a good baseball store and trying on a few gloves to see which one fits best, I wouldn't worry about where its made, only about which glove/equipment works best with your son's style of play. Your son might also check out gloves used by other players who might allow him to play catch with it.

agree with Rob T.......if im not mistaken the only all american made glove is NOKONA...
