I am a catching coach, My name is Mitch Stachowsky I live in Pocatello. I just got done playing professionaly and am coaching legion for Poky this summer. If you are still interested my passion is catching and enjoy helping kids in the area. If you are interested or would like some more info shoot me an E- mail (mstack17@gmail.com) or give me a call at 208-244-2178. I work with anybody who wants to put in the time to make themselves a better catcher. My fee is nogatiable and I am extremly reasonable. Mainly because I wish I had someone to help me when I was growing up in the area. I was lucky enough to have someone work with me in college who at the time was catching in AAA. Catching is a position that if you never caught before it is difficult to coach and alot of the time high school catchers spend thier time catching for the coach during infield drills. My goal when working with kids is that when they leave me they take with them the ability to instruct themselves. As far as I don't just give pointers and quick fixes I break down every aspect of catching and they learn how to do it they learn why they do it.
The Best catching coach in Idaho and the Northwest is a former 3 Time National Cahampion at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho named Tyler Best 208-305-1108. He has coach at Lewis-Clark State College and went to Indiana University and made (Josh Phegley) go from .234 0 hr's to hitting .453 15 hr's and a Johnny Bench semi-finalist. I think he's back in Lewiston, Idaho finishing his master's degree at University of Idaho. When this guy lands a head job watchout. He made LCSC a powerful offense and catching school then goes to Indiana University and puts them on the map of 6th in the nation in offense and grabs a catcher and makes him a nationally recognized kid.
