Im planning to buy a new catchers mask.
Since I already have a Nike chest protector and shin guards, I was looking into Nike catchers masks, but the hockey style masks dont look that good.

I was wondering if I could get any opinions on other brands, such as Easton and All-Star hockey style masks.

Since I live in Japan, it is hard to find hockey-style catcher masks.

Son found that the AllStar hockey mask is his favorite.

He tried the Easton and found it heavier and the vision not as good as the AllStar.

He has the option of wearing a two piece in College where he is issued Wilson gear. He is going to try the two piece but thinks he will use the AllStar hockey style when all is said and done.

He rarely takes his mask off (just for pop flies) and does not look forward to having the two piece come off on his throws.

I guess after using the AllStar for the last 8 years he has become comfortable with it.
All Star is definitely top of the line when it comes to the hockey style. They have their new System 7, looks a bit odd, but new things always do. I still have my MVP2200 from high school, and it was great. I've since gone back to the 2-piece.

System 7

Definitely know what you mean about finding those in Japan, didnt see a single one when I went there.
