What do y'all think about the baseball coaches and program at Cedar Valley? I have heard some less than positive comments from a number of people yet I see some good players going there next year.

Since no one else is speaking up -- I will comment -- but with a disclaimer....I have never met or talked to these coaches. I only know a few players that have played there -- both had good experiences and played at the next level after JUCO.
I think CV is a good opportunity for Metroplex players because it is a nice location, very affordable, and it plays a strong schedule -- like Eastfield and Richland (other strong DIII JUCO programs in the area). I think the jury is still out on the coaches and their ability to build a team from year-to-year. I believe the head coach has a number of connections to 4 year schools and was helpful in "moving" the players I know to a schools in Arlington (UTA) and Florida (NCAA DII). IMO, it will remain slightly behind the two schools I mention because their coaches are more "dynamic".

I know of 2 strong HS players w/o any select experience that DID NOT make the spring team. Hopefully this is an indicator that the coaches now have more guys to work with and choose from as the program "matures".
