AK ...

Presume you are talking about the one in Orange, California. If so, here is what I know:
>>D-3
>>Baseball has been and still is their strongest sport
>>Previous head coach, Rex Peters, was there for 5 years and is now head coach at UC Davis, which went from D-2 to D-1 and is now part of the Big West Conference. He took Davis to D-2 world series in his first season there.
>>Current Head Coach Tom Tereschuk was a successful high school coach in Orange County, honored as CIF-SS Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2002.
>>Altho it is quite a jump from high school to college coaching, Tereschuk took his Chapman Panthers to the D-3 World Series as a rookie coach and won the championship in 2003. The Panthers were the West Region champs this year and Tereschuk was named West Region Coach of the Year in '05.
>>School is an urban school located in the quainter and older area of Orange (the main street has been used in quite a few movies). They are growing quite a bit and there is a lot of building going on.
>>Academically it is very solid. Though it is pretty expensive, they do have some solid academic schollies available. Their classes are small and offer a great deal of quality teaching. We have known several young people from our son's high school who have attended Chapman (and a close friend who just got her Masters' there) and all were able to finish in 4 years. They all loved the school. One of our son's former high school teammates went there to play baseball ... a pitcher ... and altho it didn't work out for him (too few innings), he did stay at the school even tho he hung his cleats up after his freshman season.

Hope that helps.
