in the left margin next to go, there is a green menu that will pull out when you move the mouse to it.

Click on Chat room.

Might have to download Java for the Java applet, I think it will do it for you.

Yep, if red X in upper left corner of Window, then got to java.com for the download. Might take a little while, but will work for you next time.
