I saw it CD... it was a big topic of discussion on a radio station here this am. First of all, I'm a HUGE Carrie Underwood fan and was hoping for her to win.... felt she deserved it. I've also always enjoyed Faith Hill's music and thought her to be a very classy person and performer. From watching the reaction, it looked pretty real to me.... if so, I'm disappointed in her.

Lafmom....like you, I love both Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. I've seen that video and can't believe it...I'm so disappointed in Faith Hill who has always appeared to be one classy lady IMO. She is saying she was "joking around"..but it looks too real to me.

By the way...did you see who Carrie Underwood was WITH at the CMAs? It is that fellow contestant from American Idol. Anthony Federov??? I think that's his name. The one who had the tracheotomy when he was little.

I didn't realize that!!! Now that you say it though, I should have recognized him. I actually thought it was her brother!

I thought Carrie's performance was great although she appeared a tad bit nervous. I just kept worrying (being a mother) about the camera angles with that dress she had on!

lafmom, regarding Carrie's dress, you've got that right! She looks like she's slimmed down a LOT too -- perhaps 15 pounds lighter?

I just watched that clip. Faith Hill looked like she was questioning a called third strike! I like to keep these topics related to baseball. and... I certainly would not have been worried too much about the other girl's dress.

OPP - I think you are absolutely right about keeping these topics focused on baseball. As lafmom said, if those camera angles had not been just right, we may have been exposed to more CURVES than normal
