I have to say that I am not surprised. Coach Dennis is a quality coach. He was successful in Texas before going to Chatanooga. My son had the opportunity to try out for him in the fall of '03, his first fall there. He offered my son a spot on the team and told him he'd be surprised if he didn't earn the starting spot at either 3rd, 2nd or ss within a few weeks of spring practice starting. I know that by not accepting the offer was a HUGE mistake, but his reasoning at the time was very sound. I wish him nothing but future successes.

I am a coach at Chattanooga State CC and interested in recruiting quite a bit into Georgia and have been doing so already. I would be very interested in input on quality kids that are looking to move on to the 4 year level through JUCO ball. I need kids that are 2-3 tool kids and have high levels of desire. You can see more about me and the program at www.chattanoogastate.edu.
Thanks

Awesome, you have done a great job since taking the job there. Keep up the good work.
Slick,
That is a far cry from how it was six years ago when I played at Columbia State. I just remember a tall coach in the tournament that yelled extensively at his players. We were the best in the conference and Vol was salty as well. It is a big turn around for Dyersburg State too. I really dont know that much about Walters State but have heard they are solid. Back when I played it was East and West. Well continued success to these teams in Tennessee.
sportsbuff,

You are very right about the change in Chattanooga State .... My son played for Vol State 2001 and 2002 seasons and Chat State was considered a "W" by the upper level teams.

Coach Dennis has done a tremendous job and deserves congratulations. Class act and a program that inproves each season.

Best of luck this season.
