Son is a catcher and seems to love keepinghis ear as long as possible. Plays year round andis tuff on the shin guards. The All star shin guards have lasted him the longest. hhey wore out and he was issued Nike gear at the beginning of the season. Sems t be holding up well but the Allstar gear lasted him almost 2 years.

Ive had these for about 2 years and the knee guards are getting past Duct Tape capability.

Chest Protector is softening up so its just time.This summer to the end of fall Im looking to buy it.Maybe prices will drop by fall

Do a little research on the internet. Figure out what you like. You know, the brand and the model. Then I enter it in to a Froogle search. Like "All-Star CP222PRO" will give you mucho prices on this very specific chest protector. This is what I do when I am looking for stuff. It really does save a lot of money to buy something from 1 place and something else from another sometime. There really is a great difference in cost. Keep in mind shipping costs, I find that most places I buy from are pretty reasonable. WAS supply is good, I have also found great deals at Anaconda sports (I'm pretty much done shopping for my son, but we have 2 girls hot and heavy into playing softball).

We got a great price from DIRECT SPORTS on my son's STEALTH gear. They stand behind the stuff, too, as we have had to replace the shin guards when they cracked. No charge--just shipping.
