My HS has a summer team. They will pretty much be playing a second season against mostly the same schools but in a summer league.Competative and also a place where coach is working guys in and finding the best onfield mix.

My question is this.Should I stay with the my High school team this summer or should I look for a good team that travels?Since I am looking to win a starting job on varsity I feel I should stay with my HS this summer, but between Junior and senuior year I might need to look at a competative travel team

One compromise would be to play for your high school summer team, but also participate in summer showcases and advanced/all-star camps (for age 15-18 only) that are hosted by colleges you hope to play for. That way, they could get a first-hand look at your abilities, but you'd also stay in your high school coach's good graces.
if you are interested I have traveling summer select team and I have had players from oklahoma before. we play on the weekends for the m most part and go to several national tournaments and paly in some show case tournaments. I an associate scout for the brewers and would advise to play on traveling team that plays alot of tournaments feel free to call me i do scout the oklahoma area.
my number is 817.298.1554
thank you

PS if you choose my team you will be able to play both
scout-
don't recognize your name but recognize your area code... why do you advise to play in a lot of tournaments? how is that going to help someone? wouldn't it help to play against better competition - if that is in a tourney well then great... but 80% of tourney are just games...

how good is your team if you are telling this person he can ply both if you've never seen him... what if he is awful?
to the OP: is your ultimate goal to play in the majors or to play against the best competition you can face? If so, than obviously you should choose to play on a team that faces the toughest competition possible, or if that competition is too strong, than you oughta face the toughest competition that at the same time will allow you to improve your skills. That's my advice.
