Choking up on the bat

One of the greatest hitter's in the game always choked up on the bat.

As he was bringing the bat into the zone his top hand would slide down to meet his bottom hand.

Keeps the bat in the zone longest. Gave him the option to either hit for power or spray the ball around the park. He was a pretty good bunter as well if he had a hard time catching up to a fastball.
