Biz,
I talked to Coach Rock yesterday. They are excited about Chris signing with them and hope he'll make it to Memphis next year (draft??). Everyone should keep an eye on Memphis in the next couple of years. I believe they have turned the corner and will soon become a very competitive team and national power under Daron Shoenrock. They are definitely recruiting well!
Bama - tell me about their coach. I read his bio on their website, sounds like a guy who knows his stuff.

My daughter is currently a student at U. of Memphis, so I am somewhat familiar with the school. She is supposed to be scoping out the baseball program for her brother (now at JUCO), but have no info from her yet.

You can PM me if you'd like.

Thanks.
topdogfan,
In my oppinion Daron Shoenrock is one of the best coaches in the nation. He spent several years at Mississippi State as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator under Ron Polk. He knows the game, recruits well (he knows talent), and he treats players with respect. He also is an "instructor" in the game, which is not true in some places.

Feel free to email me at glegg@charter.net
I have to agree with Bomber. I've known rock for many years. He is a great coach and understands what a parent goes through. His son is young, but he will tell you that it has made him think more about how to treat a player.
With Chris signing and joining another very tallented catcher from Murfreesboro, Steven Watson, they will have the position well covered.
