Catholic University (Wash. DC, DIII) and Columbia Union (Takoma Park, MD, DII) both of the DC Metro area meet your criteria. Catholic being affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and Columbia Union being affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The majority of Columbia Union's roster are non-Adventists, but are Christians. I believe the majority of Catholic's roster are baptized Catholics.

Catholic has enjoyed some success in years past but has struggled in recent years in a tough CAC Conference. Columbia Union (CUC) has enjoyed some recent success with the inception of their new head coach and went 34-26 this past spring, with a runner-up finish in Fla. at the end of their season. Catholic often carries too many players, often a problem at the DIII level, where most schools carry around 28-40 or so players. CUC had 17 on their roster last year and should have around 22-25 on their roster this upcoming school year.

Catholic has good on-campus facilities, whereas CUC competes off-campus.

Hope this helps.

This College maybe further away than you want to go. WHen I went there years aand years ago. It was maninly a College town. But alot of things within walking distance to do. Haven't been there in forever so I can't vouch for the atmosphere now.

I went to Harding University in Searcy,Arkansas. They are Div.2 baseball. This links will show thier fields and give info on their team. I think they have new Coach.

UKFan - In my area, there are TONS of Christian NAIA schools. I'll give you the link for where my son is a freshman and you could free to PM me if you want any details. I'm familiar with most in this area though if you come across one you're interested in. Campbellsville is almost always nationally ranked for baseball.

UKfan,

Take a look at Dallas Baptist University. They have a very strong baseball program. My son went to the TCU Showcase this past weekend and the DBU coach was there. I met him and he was a very nice and knowlegable baseball guy.

DBU's baseball program is D1 since the 2004 season. Some of their other sports programs are still D2, but not baseball.
You might want to check out Eastern University in Radnor, PA. Absolutely gorgeous school and campus. It's on the Main Line near Philly and made up of beautiful old estates and some newer buildings too. Great education too. It's a D-III. Too Christian oriented for us but would probably be a good fit for someone looking for that atmosphere.
Most schools in the SAC, a D-II conference in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, have a "religious flavor" to them: Presbyterian, Lenoir-Ryne, Catawba, etc. My son was at Presbyterian for two years and a lot of campus activity is faith-based. It was nice to hear a prayer offered over the PA prior to each football game-you don't get that in the ACC! (PC is starting the process of going D-1 and will be leaving the SAC).
