My son, 14, soon to be 15 is dating a really sweet girl and he wants to get her something very special "Something she would never forget". Obviously at this age I don't want him spending a ton of money but the two are in "love". I suggested tickets to the opening game of the Braves but he didn't think that was a great idea. Any suggestions
To our military men, women and families - You are all awesome - that flag is yours and I thank you for the opportunity for giving me the honor of removing my cap prior to every baseball game I see.

Girls that age love anything that can be worn and shown to their girlfriends so that they can say "Johnny gave me this for Christmas"...keeping that in mind anything silver is popular and most often not as expensive as gold...so a silver bracelet, earrings or necklace can be bought...stay away from rings as they often imply something else to girls..like we are getting married a week from Saturday Roll Eyes...my daughters also have saved flowers given to them but those must accompany a bigger gift also a stuffed teddy bear is good..best of luck...dealing with girls is not easy...personally I would have preferred 10 boys... easier to deal with than daughters pull_hair
catcher09, GAME TICKETS? Geez, You men all think alike! Let's see....You want something that she will never forget. Catchermom is going in the right direction. He needs to get her something that she wears and something she can show off to all her girlfriends. I think she is a perfect candidate for a tattoo!

Catchermom nailed it....and njbb's suggestion of a charm bracelet is great....still have my charm bracelet....it goes back a long way, and/or I'm an old lady....but....still wear it! Even added a few baseball charms over the past few years...

Catcher mom, after being raised with 4 sisters, and having a son....I agree....in my experience....girls are so much more difficult.....my son was such a delight to raise....but I don't know about 10 more Big Grin
I agree with CatcherMom's suggestion. When my younger son was 15, he had a steady girlfriend during Christmas time, and chose a nice sterling silver necklace for her. He wanted to buy it at a quality jewelry store even though it was more expensive there than something similar at a department store. They put it in a very frilly decorated gift bag with the store's name on it which made a very nice presentation.

The gift was very well-received, although he doesn't have that girlfriend any longer! Smile

Okay Ladies....I have to share this one. I have an occassion coming up for which I receive gifts...and always...one of those gifts is a calender for the new year....a calender with Boston Terriers.....my favorite. So today I start hinting around that I hope somebody didn't forget my calander. Think when husband announced shortly thereafter that he had to go to the mall....I should have known.....and he took son with him.

They get home and son announces that he thinks Dad needs to give me one gift early...because it's not what I usually get....the calender. Seems they were out of Bostons....and son, who I now know I raised with some sensitivity, said I should see it....in case it had to be returned. Well, says I....no Bostons...okay....but I'm sure you're Dad got me something else appropriate....seasonal flowers.....landscapes......something pretty.....cute?

He got me a calender..."Baseball As America". I'm keeping it...cause I don't want him to hear the end of it soon...not for 12 long months Roll Eyes

Red ....

I am betting it is the puppy calendar ... they are soooooo adorable !!! That is the best site for calendars ... my hubby is also a fisherman and requests one wall and one desk top fishing calendar every year for Christmas. And he gets my annual penguin calendar there as well.

Have a wonderful day ... will try to meet up in the New Year.
