CIF SS pre-season poll

I agree with a number of them, however I see a couple of teams that I doubt will be nearly as good as the polls indicate as they have lost a number of Sr's. I think some of this is based on past performance, which is not in itself a bad thing since good coaches develop good teams. I also see one or two teams not ranked that I think will be pretty good.

Jr's team plays a couple of the top 10 division 1 schools in the first half so this should give us a pretty good indication on how competitive his team will be.

I think with Moorpark you have to take how they did in the VIBL playoffs and how they did in the VIBL season and use that to temper it a bit. They should be a strong team but probably not #3 in Div 1. Higginbotham is going to be a very solid pitcher and they got a kid who transferred in who is a good hitter but I'm not certain how much depth they have in the pitching staff.

I'm glad to see Culver City ranked in Div. 3. Their coach and I played there in HS and he's one of the good guys.
