The only thing I'll add to my comment on the other thread is that when you put all your eggs in the summer team basket, you relinquish "ownership" or control of the recruiting process to the summer team coach, some of whom have been known to abuse it by holding the outcome of the process ransom (or at least threatening to) for whatever they want or need.

Not everyone is a PhD in baseball. Some parents actually get swindeled in the whole deal and their kids cheated out of their opportunities. I know it is something foreign to you. It DOES happen. People reading this know if it applies to them or not.

Not inferring PHD or whatever you want to interject--I don't have one--not sure I ever wanted one--especially in baseball-- it is all common sense-- I am not a genius but I think I know what works based on my experience--Dad you have the experience I have --I think not
What is foreign to me?-- what are you inferring?
I will say this again--if parents do their homework they can see where it is at--talk to people in their area--get a feel of the situation-- lets call it "street smarts" not "PHD"
