Very long body. He has the potential to become an impressive D1/Pro pitcher. Very hardworker when it comes to him. His fastball consistently hits 84-86, and has topped out at 87 this past spring. Due to the increase in a little size, he may top out a little higher. He has a slurve/curve, an impressive knuckleball which is very effective, a decent changeup when located correctly, as well as a slider. With a gain of size up to about 200-215 lbs, and a good program, he has a great future ahead of him as well as the program he attends. Also, there is a chance that he may still be growing so he may grow an inch or two. Very long arms and legs. He played basketball in the winter. 30" vertical. He goes to Parkway South High school and is coached by Adam Stahl (Cleveland Indians scout and coach of Duluth Huskies in Northwoods league) in Ballwin, St. Louis, Missouri. Stancik was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. He has a medium frame with athleticism and projectability.

Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond showing fluid actions and the ability to get to many balls. Stancik has soft hands that allow him to make plays look easy. On slow rollers he shows his athleticism along with good body control. He will make all the plays. Also has solid arm strength and makes very accurate throws.

At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a high back elbow. He uses a simple approach and looks like a mature hitter in the box. Stancik drives through the ball well staying balanced throughout, and showing good bat speed through the hitting zone. He makes line drive contact to all fields, and juiced some balls showing projectable power.

Additional Comments: Cooper is a left handed pitcher who is not getting much attention because he sat out much of his junior season with an injury. He is a 3 year starter on Varsity. During the preseason he is at 85 to 87 mph with his fastball. He needs work on a curve ball or slider, but makes up for it with a split finger fastball that is in the neighborhood of 74-77. He also has a change-up that is at 70-72. He has 3 pitches and makes him a quality starter. In the field Cooper plays outfield and 1st base. Very athletic.

Being from the midwest, I have traveled in an attempt to develop as a player and play with and against the toughest competition. I have worked very hard this off season on feedback received by working with a speed and agilities trainer and dropping 40 lbs. I hope these changes will open some doors for me in my college search.
