My son has always been the dirtiest one on the field and I have tried many of the options shown in the video links provided....after many games the power washer eventually blew holes in the pants   then we moved on to iron out...not only cleans the pants but can also wipe out your lungs...found this soap that seems to work well and it smells good...check out the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL0bqEADR1E

I used to have a washer that you could fill halfway and soak with the lid down to avoid the Iron Out smell, but the new high efficiency washer took care of that.   If it were just the pants that needed cleaning, I may have tried the Fels Naptha.  But at 5 minutes cleaning time each (per video) when you have pants, shirts, socks, belt, sliding shorts, jockstrap, etc...Iron Out is still my go to product and better than ESPRO (I have a gallon of that on my shelf too).  I just soak the baseball uni in the utility sink overnight and the smell and red clay are gone.

Iron out is good for blood stains too, btw.

Prefer ESPRO SPORTS CLEANER because: 1. it cleans stains better than anything else. 2. it is safe to use (no need to wear gloves or breathing mask) 3. does not harm colors (no bleach) 4. environmentally friendly 5. over 100 pro and college teams use it as their primary stain remover.
