The first sentence was posted by yours truly. The Editors Note was by someone else, but it showed up with the post I made.

No big deal, but would like to go on record as saying I am not a moderator. Also have never asked a moderator to delete or close any thread.

I just thought that one was a bit out of place and it seemed odd for someone's first post ever on a baseball site. Let alone to bump it up so soon after.

A moderator has the ability to go into your post and delete or edit whatever content they want to.
If they wanted to close the thread because it was not of related content to this website, no problem, but they should have identified themselves instead of editing your post to make it seem like you were doing it or just deleted it the entire thread (which can be done by deleting each post seperately).

Maybe some moderators need moderating lessons. Roll Eyes
