Hello all,

my summer team does not travel very much and my coach and I had a talk about college recruiting today. He was telling me he can get me into a college in the U.S. on scholarship if I am willing to work hard enough to earn one. He has numerous contacts in the U.S. seeing as he usto play D1 down there. He recently sent one of our older players to A D1 somewere in Kansas on scholarship. Now should I stay here in hopes of my coach sending me down to a school in the U.S or should I go for a travel team who recently invited me to tryouts?

all in all it's your call.

You have to look at your coaches track record of his past and what his credentials are when it comes to how many players he's "sent". Just because he sent one player to a D1 school doesn't mean he'll send you to another D1 school on scholarship.

If I were you I'd ask both coaches which tournaments they're planning on attending. Are they having a fall team? Will you be able to start on the team you plan to be on?

If you really are good enough to go "D1" then all you need is exposure. How much exposure you'll be able to receive will help you decide what team to be on.

If you have any other questions just PM me.
