I think you will be proud of this.

Because in the very limited time he spent with you - you could see his eyes light up.

Here is what Kyle's HS coach said about him in the papers two days ago:

"This kid plays all out. Nothing is held back. Sometimes out of control, but always hard. He is aggressive in the outfield and on the bases. He will dive for anything. He keeps the dugout stirred up because he is so vocal. People definitely know he is on the field."

I couldnt give a rats *** about stats or anything else - when I read that - my heart jumps out of my chest.

And I thank you sincerely and always - along with some others - for being part of developing that burning desire.
You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. ~Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970

The first time I ever saw him play I saw it. And everytime I have seen him play I have seen it. Yes he is bigger, stronger, faster now. But that desire and determination and love for the game is what sets him apart and will continue to set him apart. I plan on seeing him some more in the future. Kids like Kyle are the reason guys like me keep doing what we do.
