There will be three locations: Dallas, Houston, and Austin, and you can register for each camp at coachtraub.com/events. Cameron Dodd, Head Coach at West Texas Junior College will be working the camps in Houston and Austin.

Each camp includes instruction in mental skills (of course), primary position, and defense. It also includes written objective and subjective feedback, a pro-style tryout, and scrimmages. Each hitter will get at least two game ABs and each pitcher will face at least 5 batters. All this in one day, with several (decision making) head coaches watching.

I did a little research and every college baseball coach working my August camps (majority are head coaches) was at the same school last year and is going back. Each of them coached a winning team! Their overall W-L record in 2011 was 285-167! I am fortunate to be able to put together such a fine staff, and I will point out that it is not something that happens by chance.

Early Registration extended as follows:

Thursday camp at Eastfield College - Register by Tuesday.

Saturday camp at Spring Westfield HS - Register by Thursday
Note: the TBA coach at this camp is Zak Ellis, Assistant Coach from Alvin Community College.

Sunday camp at Stony Point HS - Register by Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Sunday's camp in Round Rock is the only one of the three that looks to have a decent chance to sell out.

Thank you for a great camp yesterday. 38 hard-nosed kids performed well and learned a lot. It was even comfortable out there for about 2 hours while it thought about raining. Looking forward to great camps in Spring and Austin this weekend!
