There was another post a while back about this, but can confirm there have been D1 HC/AC at events. Other thing I've seen is D1 ACs coaching teams, and the teams playing up in events....
Are they paid assistant coaches or volunteer assistant coaches? There is a difference.

Did the paid coaches have kids or family members playing? Years ago Jimbo Fisher was able to get around some football recruiting restrictions because his kid was playing in the same 7-vs-7 tournament as a kid he was trying to recruit
No in all three cases.
I have seen D1 coaches out at the field and other events, but they also have kids playing in the tournament or participating in the event. I have also seen "furloughed" coaches out at the field watching games.
