coaching dilemma revisited | High School Baseball Web

Thanks to all who gave us advice to keep quiet about our issues with the coach, which helped me convince husband...he's happy he listened to me.

We played a tournament this past weekend. Won the first two games with our 1 and 2 pitchers...everyone played really well. On to the championship game...coach decides to put son on the mound. He last pitched March 6 and has been working hard for a chance ever since. I wasn't sure he could do it..physically or mentally. I was wrong, thankfully. He pitched 5 solid innings giving up 1 hit to a team that had 16 runs the night before. He made some excellent fielding plays and has the good fortune to be backed up by a great team of fielders and hitters. I'm so proud of that kid for working through it and taking advantage of his big chance.

Hopefully he's proved to the coach and team that he deserves a few more chances this season.
