It appears to be a pay to play to wear USA on a uniform. They have teams from 11-18. They claim to be a showcase organization. All the older age groups still have spots available even thought the age group is a three year spread, 16-18. They've been in business nine years. They're claiming six affilaited pro players and three Indy's. I couldn't find price anywhere. But this comment is on the site ....

Coast to Coast Baseball has teamed up with the nation's leading sports fundraising company to help you raise $1,000, $2,000, or more quickly and easily.

They even provide a sample press release to get printed in your hometown paper. sample

My first impression is PT Barnum is right again.

RJM and Frosh 23:

Goodwill Series has been involved with International Baseball for 26 years. In the current World Games,
45 players from all team have previously played in a Goodwill Series event. We have 155 players who have later played in the MLB.

Each year we obtain an official sanction for USA Baseball. The following questions should be asked and requested.
1. Is there a sanction from USA and Puerto Rico.
2. What will I learn from this trip?
3. How many games? Wood bat?
4. What and where is the housing located?
5. What is the caliber of competition?
6. Are visas and passport needed?
7. Are medical trainers available?
8. Is the insurance primary or secondary?

There are a few questions for a player.

Bob
Runaway and runaway fast. Based on what you put and RJM put I think they are a money factory.

Talk to Bob Williams and PGStaff because they run some of the best baseball organizations out there. They might be able to steer you towards some reputable organizations to play for.

Best of luck and keep asking about things you are not sure about. Better to ask and find out information than to blindly go forward.

I had a kid several years ago who was decent but nothing that special. He gets this thing in the mail about trying out for a team and if chosen go play in Australia. He asked me about it and I looked into it a little and seemed to be a money factory. He went with it and had to raise something like $5000 just to go. Gets over there and they had 5 secondbasemen (what he played) on a roster of 20. He played more OF than 2B - basically what they did was take the first 20 who paid.

It was probably People to People. My son was invited to play in Europe. I looked at the cost and figured for the same price the entire family could go for a week and not be encumbered by baseball.
