Do Juco's and or D1,D2 have any type of tryouts in the Fall for 08 grads they might want to follow or do they have to just wait until the Summer to host tryouts. Is this what they use holiday camps for?

Probably need to ask someone like KellerDad who has lived it but IMHO I think you need to be with an organization that will get you infront of these schools, attend camps or showcases.
Not sure where the best avenue is - hopefully I can answer this next year as I am in the same boat as you are (move over!)
But - the organization we are with is putting us into alot of 'looks' whether it be round robin games or ????

Will get some showcases in during the Fall and a few Fall league games. Wasn't sure how well scouted the Fall season will be?
I would recommend that your son contact coaches at the schools in which he is interested. They can let him know how best to be seen. However, if the school has camps, you can be certain they will be interested in your camp dollars regardless of any other interest...
I know for sure that D1 JUCO's have showcases and tryouts. Let me know if you need something set up, I have quit a few connections with a lot of JUCO's.

Call the admissions office of the school and arrange to take a tour of the campus - write a letter or email the baseball coach that you are coming and interested in their school and their baseball program. If they are not available to see you when you take a tour, at least they know you are seriously interested in their school and can put you on their radar and mailing list. Many schools have fall or holiday camps.

I agree with e-mailing coaches at schools you are interested in. My son did that and after fall JUCO season was over he had invitations to camps and several coaches even had one on one tryouts.
