College after pro ball? | High School Baseball Web

I know of a player that played rookie ball and part of the next season in the minors. He left baseball and has been out for a year. I heard he is enrolling in school and has remaining NCAA eligibility, be it at a DII college. Does anyone know the "rules" in this situation? I think he has to sit out a year -- but will he be draft eligible again when he turns 21?

I thought once you played a year that was it you could not go back to school...I have to check that out since I know they have changed those rules since I played.

He is going back to school with a different name.....

I don't think he will be allowed to play the same sport he was a professional in. He could go back as a basketball player, but not a baseball player.

called a 90 day release player you can attend any college and play college ball but division 1
