College Baseball Camp, how important?

My son traveled to a big D1 school camp in the Pac-10 and was given the award for best player. The camp was one week in length so they got a pretty good look of his capabilities. He was rated "high D1" prospect on all categories except 2 where he was rated "mid" He would love to go to this school and has done the appropriate post camp emails and will be calling next week. Does anybody know how much stock we should put in his rating and award in regards to interest the school has for him?

If it were me, I would be placing a lot of personal stock in it but I probably would be reluctant telling anyone else about it. Here is different obviously since none of us know each other.

Based on your description, this award sounds like a big deal. Your son has held up his end of the bargain. I would be surprised if an offer was not forthcoming.
