These stats are from a local D3 school near me. This player used to play with one of my sons in little league. How can he play 5 seasons of full-time baseball with only 4 years of eligibility?

2020 didn't count for eligibility for anyone.  In 2021, some D3 schools didn't play at all, and some played about half a schedule.    I think that's why they said that year didn't count for eligibility either.  I can see some schools that did play a full 40-game season in 2021, but still have 5- and 6-year players on their rosters (such as in this example).  But 2021 was probably an abnormal season.
