We found it was best to go directly to the program itself - if updated info isn't on their website, have your son call or text to confirm dates. My son did so with three camps (one where he committed, and two schools which didn't offer him) and we got good feedback in all three instances.

Agree with the point re $$ showcases - they will cancel/change schedule at the very last minute.

I know you aren't asking for this, but it seems to me you are approaching this backwards.  Create a list of target schools that fit the athlete's profile (athletically, academically, geographically, socially, etc) then put together a plan to get in front of the coaches.  From here it shouldn't be difficult to research the school camps, reach out to the coaching staff and determine if they are worthwhile to attend.  I don't see the point in randomly picking camps because they are convenient.
