Hi all,

Sending rising sophomore to his first college camp experience at Florida Atlantic this summer.  We live in the Northeast but will be traveling to Florida right when they have their camp so I thought it would be a good experience to see baseball in the south and what he is up against.  It is his dream to play college ball in the southern states.  My question is for me.  I hope you can all understand where I'm coming from but do parents stay at these camps in the stands and watch or are you expected to drop your kid and get out of dodge?  I would of course love to sit and watch all day but only if that is somewhat expected.  Being that I am taking my family on vacation, I am just trying to figure things out ahead of time so that if my wife and I cannot watch, I will plan accordingly and do some other things with the rest of the family during the camp time.

Hope I don't sound too much like an overbearing dad, I just love to watch baseball and especially my boy, especially in a situation like this, where I expect to see him go up against some real good players.

Thanks for any feedback
