As long as there are college coaches around- and they watch the players, it always means your chances of getting noticed goes up.
college camps are pretty much showcases as long as there is a coach there.

College camps are a great way to get noticed. Texas ATM sent me a letter earlier this spring, and reccommended that i come to their camp so they can further evaluate since it is hard to see everybody during the season. I am going to 3 different camps this summer plus a number of schowcases. I believe it is the best way to get noticed.
Does anyone know if Baylor University is having any camps this summer? I know there is a camp for high school FCA members, but I was unable to go to it because it is next week. Is there an actual camp run by the coach?
Also, would it be good to go to the camps, even if I'm not the best player, like do only the top payers go to college camps? I wouldn't want to make a fool of my self, a mediocre freshman at a camp with a bunch of all-star juniors and seniors.

You could proably find out on Baylor's athletic website when all their camps are.
And for going to the camps. Even if you are not the best, if you want to play college ball, then you should go. It is a good way to get exposure. Just getting your name out there to college coaches is good.

Remember, you can also go to the camps to get better too! Those camps aren't just for showing off to the college coaches unless they are a "showcase camp" like some colleges have.
