BHD,

Let me give you an idea of just how BIG Texas is. If you flipped Texas over towards California at the tip where El Paso is, Texarkana would be way out in the Pacific Ocean. Eek
Yes they are huge. Lots of northern areas for hunting and fishing. I have seen a lot more of Texas than Ontario or Quebec.
I live just outside of Toronto in the Niagara penninsula near the US border. Heavily populated with the most baseball teams in Canada. Our Elite teams start playing in April and end in late October. They travel south in Oct & Nov to play a few tournaments and then head indoors for the winter workouts. This is an amazing place to play ball as you can play at a high level until you are in your 40's.
Also from the day before
Blackhawks 1
Tigers 8
The Tigers and Blackhawks played eachother 3 times this weekend. This is the only game I remember the score of. The second game yesterday the Tigers were ahead until the Blackhawk pitchers began to throw for the Tigers, then I think the Blackhawks had a 2 run lead. Then this morning, technically we tied, but only because of a run limit... the Blackhawks would've won.

Didn't make the trip. Heard DBat had only 2 hits in that game. Also heard they lost the nightcap against the Blackhawks in the bottom of the 7th.

KD, to bad you didn't make it down to College Station, this type of baseball is fun and different from the summer blood and guts.

DBAT's bats were cold today, but we did hit 13 batters vs. the Tigers and 12 vs. the Blackhawks. When you take 19 to 20 kids to this type of showcase and 14 of them are pitchers...well you get my drift.

Nick is a great kid, I got a chance to visit with him some today and learn a little about him. Hope you make it to Baylor next weekend, if so make sure you come say hello.

Work had a lot to do with me missing yesterday. Leaving for vacation for a week pretty soon and that means I've got to actually try to catch up some before I leave. Frown

Thanks for the compliment! I'll be at Baylor this weekend. I've got to get my fix somehow.
