I posted something similar in a different thread...though thinking about HS age kids.  On Twitter I have already seen well known travel orgs telling people that they will try to fill the void if HS seasons are cancelled.  I'm sure something will get done for college age too.  Diamond Nation, NEBC and others must be drawing stuff up as we speak.

Some states have current bans on gatherings of various sizes. At this point I also think it’s wise for folks to stay put to prevent spread. That being said, it would be cool if something like that could be done after the dust settles, whenever that is. Not sure if it could/would impact eligibility tho. Right now, I feel like our players are being held hostage. Such a sad situation 😢

Got an email from son's summer league coach, saying they are hopeful to start June 1.  But, I'm not optimistic.  What I'm hoping is that people will get creative on a local level.  My fairly small town could put together a team of 12-14 current college baseball players; so could the next county.  Even if they just play each other all summer, while living at home, that would be baseball.

Another option would be, if/when they open up campuses is to take some classes to increase your credit hours and get you that much closer to graduation. If they only have you carry 12/semester, it's a 5 year plan. if you can get 6-12 hrs over 2 summers, that shaves off 1 semester....Probably too late to add a class this spring....  Grab the education and credits while you can.  Then if you draft you only have to finish 1 semester, not 2!
