I wouldn't trust that toolbar two inches. Those things usually tie in to some Pay Per Click search engine. You may find your tool bar searches include online pharmacies, web gambling, body part enhancement and ****.
Never, never, never download any web freebie unless you fully understand what you're doing. and know how to undo it if necessary.
Even as a web pro, I spend an hour a month on average removing **** thats downloaded on our main machine. And it has the latest in virus, adware, and firewall protection. Not fun at all to deal with this stuff.
This ain't 1995. There are very few true freebies on the web anymore.
