Chris, I don't know that there's such a place. To "expect" good playing time isn't something that any coach can promise. He doesn't know who might sign after you, who might get hurt, who might suddenly want to transfer. With that said, I'll tell you about a program that's just starting up here in KY. The coaches are really good guys. I know they've done a lot of recruiting and may have some studs comprising their team... I don't know. Sometimes though, a program will struggle a bit when starting up and it might allow a better opportunity to show your stuff. Again, never any guarantees.

Gotta agree with the post above. Don't think there is any such place. And try as hard as you might to figure out what awaits when you arrive as a freshman, no crystal ball can tell you who is coming along in the classes behind you.

You'll have to compete most anywhere for playing time etc. which is part of the process and part of the fun.
College Playing Time is earned based upon performance, kept, based upon performance, or lost, based upon performance. The not-so-dirty-little-secret of college baseball is that at most schools, when a player gets a shot at PT, it's time to get the job done; if he doesn't, somebody else is looking for the same shot and if they get the job done, it could be quite a while before the chance comes around again.

At times it can seem cruel, but playing time is very precious, and there are a lot more guys vying for it than there is field time available. Football and basketball allow totally free substitution, and there are many more "plays" in a contest than baseball.

Expect at any school to be handed nothing.
