I am sure Hokieone will respond. In the meantime. The NCAA rules say that if a summer team has a coach from a 4 year NCAA affiliated school, that team is not allowed to have Juco players. The NCAA believes it gives that coaches school and unfair advatange on recruiting Juco players. This is even tru if the Juco player has already committed to another school and is playing the summer between his final Juco and first NCAA year.
Some leagues and teams follow that rule some do not.
BLD is correct, however I do know that some Cal Collegiate league teams do not have NCAA coaches so they can play for them. My son played on a team with a number of JC players.
There are several teams here in Ca. that carry JC guys. Some play an independent schedule but still play against teams in established leagues. There are a few teams that are comprised largely of players from a specific JC.
In a nut shell there are plenty of options for Juco players in summer leagues. There is even a Juco league based in Florida, that takes only Juco and Fresh/Soph players from 4 year schools. This will be the leagues first year so I do not know how well it will be run.
