Let's say a student is offered some $$$ by the coach to attend a private, faith based institution. The player is also eligible to receive separate scholarship funds as a result of the same religious affiliation. While combining the funds lowers the cost of attendance to the player, does it help the coach or count against him in some way?

I guess the actual question is.... should a player that is Presbyterian/Baptist/Lutheran, etc... let a coach know up front that he is of the same religious affiliation as the school and that he may be eligible for institutional scholarship $$ based on that up front? Or is it a separate issue from baseball altogether?
