Was sitting in the bleachers last night watching the Lake Highlands Wildcats play the Blackhawks (had to get a fix and have friends on the Wildcats) and next to me was a fellow webster that is on this board a lot and has kept his/her identity secret. Of course it has slipped out a time or 2 but now that his/her son has graduated I was thinking that it was about time to "COME OUT" and identity your son like they do on the General Forum.

I am sure there are others out there, I can think of a few that are in the same boat. So how about it, it could be fun.

So, let's identify our graduated, no longer HS playing son's and how about a refresher on if they are playing this summer and with whom and what their plans on in the Fall. If your son is involved in the draft update it with that as well, team/round.

If your son hasn't graduated and you are ready to "expose" Eek yourself go right ahead and add to this. For those of you w/several identities you can choose to name 1 or all it is us to you.

I will start it with the next response.

Son: Thomas Rooke-graduated May 26th from Oak Ridge HS

Summer plans: leaving Saturday for Nicaragua & Costa Rica-assuming when I go downtown in a few minutes(for the 2nd time this week) I will be able to pick up his and his sister's passports-which we applied for 3 months ago!!!

Fall plans: Along with Britton-attending Kansas State to play baseball & major in Marketing/Business
Ok-I think I have already done this but I think it is a great idea. I always wonder about people who hide behind screen names-but whatever. I have 4 kids. Oldest daughter, Shelbi just graduated from ACU and getting married in 3 weeks (what an expensive beating-like buying a Lexus and driving it off a cliff--just kidding). Youngest daughter Morgan going to be a volleyball player at CHS next year. Proudly put my oldest son Trey, who is a junior at ACU, on the plane for Cape Cod this morning where he will play for the Chatham A's. Youngest son , Cameron, played for CHS and is playing for Linty's Tigers this summer. No college plans yet. He really wants to get drafted but I keep telling him Iraq is not a safe place to be right now. Oh, yeah, wife, Rene, of 26 years-best friend. Is that coming out enough?
I know this is our baseball website but clearly you know I am just kidding. What has amazed me through this whole process is that our financial advisors talk to us about saving for college and retirement, but never a wedding. Holy smoke! It is so expensive, but as I looked at our budget, I realized it is all there. My wife has done an incredible job on keeping costs down but there are so many moving parts. It's funny, I was working out the other morning and watching TV and they had a feature on "wedding insurance" on the Today Show (you know for weddings that don't happen). That night I told my daughter that we are either going to have a wedding or a very expensive double funeral. Ha-ok-back to baseball!!
Psh me? Shy?

Name: Spencer Clare

New alum of Dallas Jesuit and most likely headed to Arkansas to walk-on for baseball. Looking to go the business route in business management.

Summer: I play for the Texas Blackhawks 18 (Marston) an wear #32 (duh Smile) and so far we are 2-1 overall (Blackhawk Tourny, thanks rain for last weekend). I play every position, though I am no longer pitching due to unfortunate conditions. We are traveling the next two weekends to Austin and Omaha. Just aiming to hav a fun summer but maintain competitiveness, since I always want to win, who doesn't.

I would also like to add that we, the Blackhawks are in need of another pitcher or possibly two...with me, and two other starters out, our rotation is still good but limited in depth. Anyone send me a PM if you know of any talented pitcher out there looking for a team...
