For a kid his size and age, that swing should work just fine. I would like to see him get more separation (push his hands back as he strides), but to get him where he needs to be to hit top High School Pitching will take some work. I would suggest reading the Torque the handle thread on this site and then watch all the video you can of MLB hitters and pick one that most closely fits your body size and type.
Reminds me of Ian Kinsler.

He looks like he might be relying on too much on shoulder rotation rather than hand/arm action. That swing will work at his level like powertoallfields said. But when he advances to higher level, he will have to "free" the hands from the shoulders.

I will do a comparison clip later.
Thanks so much for both comments! He has had that "launch" position going for about 7 years now and it has been very, very productive as well as the "toe tap" or double stride for about 3 years now and thats what I think made him an even better hitter. He hits around .480 on the average the past few seasons and that is while playing against older kids and some super talented teams across the midwest and south. I know in due time he will get to a more "free hands", "comfortable" look and stance and maybe be even a better hitter at least we hope!
