Have to recognize Coach Brian Mays and the other coaches at Brooke Point.
They have their team believing, they've scraped and fought back all year long.
Last night Coach Mays made a pitching change at the correct time and kept his team in the game. Leo Sanchez stepped in and provided an outstanding performance.
The game is about momentum, Brooke Point stole the momentum and then carried it into a win....
No one expected Brooke Point to find this type of success in the tournament, a tip of the hat to the players, they play the game and execute, but we should also recognize the coaching staff as well. A very fine total team effort!
Congratulations to Brooke Point and Good Luck tonight!
Nice write up in the Free Lance-Star this morning about Coach Mays.
The Brooke Point coaching staff has been through alot in the last two years. This team is doing what they always knew it could do.

Here's a link to the FLS article..
Congrats to Brooke Point for sticking with it and getting the job done.
Don't count them out in the final either with Evan Houde on the bump!

CONGRATS to the boys and coaches of Brooke Point on a STELLAR finish and excellent show in the tournament!!!! I am looking for something good to come from this team next year!!!!
Here is a recap from the FLS (online) - I did not see this in the print edition:
ALBEMARLE 7, BROOKE POINT 6
Adam Utz's go-ahead single in the sixth inning capped a rally from a 5-0 deficit as the Patriots stopped the visiting Black-Hawks' Cinderella run in the Commonwealth District final.
Travis Cole, Ray Carden and David Dilegge each had two hits for eighth-seeded Brooke Point (5-17), which had upset top-seeded Stafford and Riverbend to reach the title game.
Evan Houde, Leo Sanchez (4), CHRIS DENNO (6), J.j. McDaniel (6) and Travis Cole. Rashad Talley, D. Roethgeb (3), JASON WHITE (5) and Adam Utz.
