Brian sparked his Sabino team to a 3-1 victory over heavily favored Catalina Foothills in regional play. Sabino, now the region champion, handed Foothills only its second loss of the season and first to an Arizona team and totally disrupted the state tournament in the process.

Thanks guys....it was a great game, and the players are still celebrating. In these parts it's something special to beat the mighty Foothills....they are a very good team.

Brian will be a great addition to the Hampden-Sydney Tigers, 2005 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champions and bound for the Division 111 NCAA regionals May 19th.

fc v dad....I've posted about Brian committing to a school, and the process of making the big decision, but don't think we ever said where....he will indeed be playing for Coach Kinne next year at Hampden-Sydney College....thank you Charlie....

and....I'm going to change my name from arizonared to californiablue.....after taking Brian to Virginia....we move to California....my husband is there now.....working at his dream job. Brian and I remain here for the summer...American Legion ball....he committed....and will play.

Think August will be a difficult month......new beginnings are never easy....yet often for the best....
