Has Bates decided on a replacement?
They expect to have his replacement on board by Nov 1 2010

Honestly one of the nicest, most energetic coaches I've ever met; definitely a great recruiter too who knows how to sell his program. He was basically the reason I, as a potential recruit, went from never thinking about Bates to really looking at it as a possibility. I can tell you right now that the future of Duke baseball is looking very bright with him being there.
TR..RR23Jr had some email correspondence with Coach Thompson and actually saw some of our games during the Arizona Senior and Junior Fall classics. Did not bother him though.
My son just received a nice email from Coach Thompson about the Duke program.
I saw coach taking lots of video at the AZ Senior & Junior during the Angels White scout team's games. My boy will definetly be following up with him.
