Congratulations to JMU- new infield!

Went to see JMU play Delaware this weekend and learned they replaced their goshawful astroturf infield with a new artificial surface, the modern more natural looking version-a great improvement to be sure! Nice facilities but this season's record is less than memorable.

Spent about $250k on the new infield. Pretty cool that grounders kick up some "dirt" when the hit this turf. Saw W&M series at JMU, their infielders thought it played great.

Never could understand why a team in a "grass growing" state like Va. needed an artificial surface. Seems like it would have been much less expensive to just go natural.
