I'm sure many of us are watching this hearing go on this morning. Personally, I could not stomach to watch any more.
It would seem from what I've seen so far that to believe clemens you need to believe that Andy Petitte is grossly (grotesquely) mistaken or a liar, that Knoblach is a liar, that Petitte's wife is grossly mistaken or a liar and that clemens' wife is the only "culprit" in taking hgh injections in the clemens' household.
So what "defense" did they cook up - clemens throws his wife under the bus on the hgh. Claims he got lidocaine and B-12 (what no flaxseed oil) to explain the needles and other evidence that's been turned over. Petitte's memory on most every conversation with clemens is mistaken......and on and on; and clemens is totally innocent.
I have attended/conducted hundreds of depositions and dozens of trials. My advice to clemens would have been the old cliche- better to remain silent and be thought the fool then open your mouth and remove all doubt. At least bonds has had the sense to follow that approach.
